Does heavy periods = infertility?

Hi ladies, I came off the pill 4 years ago and since then my periods have been very bad, I do take tranexamic acid and that helps. My question is does anybody else suffer with heavy periods and did it turn out to be a cause of infertility? Many thanks!

  • Hello, sorry nobody has responded to you, I had very heavy periods but it wasn't the cause of infertility, I don't see how heavy periods effect pregnancy because you will still ovulate whether you have a heavy period or not, and you do of course ovulate!
  • Thanks so much for the reply! Okay that's good to know, it's been 4 years now, maybe my age my last two took 3 and 6 moths to conceive but that was nearly 8 years ago, I am regular as clockwork as well.

No pain with periods so I don't think it endometriosis.

My last was by section and I have heard maybe scar tissue can grow near the tubes?
