False positive?

My husband and I started trying to conceive in July of 2017. In August of 2018 we finally got our positive. I ended up miscarrying and having a D&C done October 4. I had one normal cycle since then and my Dr. said it was okay to start ttc again after that. November 30 I took a pregnancy test as my period was 3 days late and I wanted to be sure I wasn’t pregnant before going out and having some drinks. Two tests came back positive. Today, one day later, I’m having some spotting/bleeding when I wipe. Could it be that the positive tests are false positives and picking up HCG still from my miscarriage? Could this be normal early pregnant spotting and cramping or am I already having another miscarriage?
