  • Hi Shoegal, we've have been trying for 2 years .... I've been on this forum for 1!

    Welcome to the forum x
  • Thank you Gerbera. Hope to get to know you all better and get AND give help/support.

My story is complicated and when I have a little more time (soon) I will let you know my situation.

  • Hiya shoegal!
Myself and my partner have been trying for 14months, I am new to the site too! hope this finds you well! xxx
  • Hey Sweetie!

Hope that stork finds you real soon. It took a couple of my friends 18 months and another 3 years to fll pregnant and they had no problems. It just takes time for it to happen sometimes. Hold on in there. Your time will come x
  • Hello Shoegal!!! I am on month 19 ttc hope you are not here long - in the nicest possible way!!!!
  • image) Me too! Lots of luck to you.

I have always wanted to be a mum so stopped being "careful" with contraception 10 yrs ago. After 6 months of no accidents I just became carefree about it as I had never had a regular period in my life.

Then I began to worry what was wrong. 2 years on I visited the doctor. Diagnosed with PCOS and in all honesty put it to the back of my mind again.

Carried on not using contraception, got married, been married a couple of years now and still never been pregnant.

Determined to do something about it. So I have joined here and I'm looking to make dietary changes, take supplements, medication, and pee on a stick lots haha and then eventually get that 2nd line come up image
  • Hi ShoeGal image

I have just recently joined this forum, I was trying for 7 months when I started to feel really depressed and went to a Dr, I always had a regular cycle. The Dr. told me I had a cervical ulcer which I just treated it this month so I was so HAPPY that at last I found the reason and will fall PG next cycle.

BUT, 2 days ago my DH did a SA and they told me there was No Sperms !! I felt like a stone crashed over my head, I yet have to go to the Dr to check the result and most likely do more tests.

Wishing you all the luck, others and myself too image
  • Bloody hell, RiRi! That's a bombshell! At least you have found out early and you know there is other ways of extracting sperm from a man that may make your husband cringe but is all for the greater good.

Hold on in there. It's not the end ,just the begining and it may be a little harder and a more windy path for you than some but you'll get there.
  • Hi Shoegal,

Welcome! Were you on YAYW? I recognise the name!

Me and DH have been TTC since New Year 2008/2009

We had a chemical in June 2009, and then in Sept 2009 we commenced fertility tests via our GP. We were told that my DH had OAT (rubbish sperm) and we had less than 5% of catching naturally.
We were referred for ICSI / IVF and had our first consultation booked at the fertility clinic early Dec 2009. We were self funding because I have two daughters from a previous relationship and would not qualify for NHS. The day of our first appointment, whilst we were at the clinic we had a lovely surprise natural BFP and were very excited, we didn't even need to see the consultant in the end. But then sadly at the end of Jan 2010 we miscarried at 10wks and were heartbroken. We've had another chemical preg in March and have now been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. Meanwhile DH has had further SA which has shown a drop in his Morphology further and we now only have 2% normal forms of 20 million with poor motility. We have re-booked our appointment at the fertility clinic for ICSI / IVF and our appointment is 2nd July.

That's about everything (in a nut shell) :\) xxx
  • Hi again girls,

well to update my story i went to the Dr, and they told us that there were few dead sperm cells which is a good sign. Thankfully
  • Hi there ladies I'm new to this forum do don't really understand what ttc is and all the other short words.

My partner and have been trying for a baby for nearly 3 years every month I'm in terrible pain while ovulating and been to doctors for bloods which after second lot was fine and I've had a scan to check my belly but now I'm on the waiting list to see a specialist to check internal.

My partner finally went for his test and his results told us that he's got 2 million plus they couldn't check the movement etc because the sample wasn't enough? This news has devastated us both and were on the verge of splitting up because we're always arguing I've cried until I can't cry anymore and I'm just wondering if any of you ladies had the same experience after the results??

Also I read on the other forum about something called pre seed and just wondering if any of you have tried it out?

    Thank you ladies ????
  • Hi Ann-kMarie, I don't usually post in this forum. I've tried but never had replies so just stick to  the trying for a baby forum. Anyway I didn't want to read and run. Sorry that ttc (trying to conceive) is causing you and your partner  problems, it is such a stressful time hopefully you will get through it together. Can't help with the results as my DH (dear husband) is getting his done this week. We've been ttc for 16 months. As for preseed I've heard positive things. Someone on another thread I regularly post on used it and got a BFP (big fat positive) on the first month. I'm on my second month of using it and over last 2 days have had cramps and spotting which I'm hoping was implantation so just keeping everything crossed. As for the rest of the abbreviations, if you look on the chat room rules forum, there is an alphabetical list on there. Good luck xxx

And baby dust to all xxx

  • Oh thank you ever so much faithRyan for explaining everything to me. Which is the best forum to go onto then? The trying for a baby forum? Thank you again and hopefully chat with with you on the trying for a baby forum. I hope everything is ok with you now. So cramping n sporting could possibly mean a BFP.

    Good luck xxx

And baby dust to you as well
  • No problem, thats what we are all here for. Cant really say one forum is better than the other, just in my experience the other forum is a bit more active. Was hopeful that my cramps and spotting was implantation but the witch got me this evening image xxx

  • Oh I'm ever so sorry to hear that Hun. Hugs coming your way xxxx
  • Thank you xxx
