Hiii- please read!

I'm new here been TTC for a year now but with no period it's nearly impossible!!!

Been on and on at my doctor to do something but only recently been seen by a Gynae having a scan to see weather or not I have PCOS.

Having no period for a year now has really been grinding on me emotionally and I know I'm not the only one!!!

I have been trying to lose weight and now after having lost a stone I had my first period in a year!! (I cried and screamed)

Anyone out there in a similar situation?

-Trina xx :\?

  • Hey Trina,
    Welcome hun.

Sorry to hear what you've been through. Glad you've started getting somewhere with your doctor!! When is your scan?.

Well done with losing weight! Thats excellent... Lets hope you get some answers and a bfp soon.

  • Hi mallowmoosh. Hope your scan goes ok on the 8th. I'm also having a scan mid-April, have also been trying for a year, although doubt it's pcos because my periods are v regular? Good luck hope u get some answers, I know I feel better just knowing that I'm in the system. Congrats on the weight loss too xxx
  • Hi Mallow,

I was in exactly the same position recently, I had no AF for 15 months and this is really quite normal for me, I usually only get between 1-3 a yr. So my doc was great had blood tests and scan and showed I do have PCOS. I have just recieved another appointment to see a specialist.

It really is frustrated when ttc as you cant pin point your fertile times and it feels as if there is little point trying so I know exactly what you mean.

Good luck with your appointment x
  • Hi Mallowmoosh!
I have PCOS on just one ovary, after various scans it was found out. I've been put on Clomid as also not ovulating. There are quite a few of us with PCOS, so you're not on your own.

MY AF are also all over the place so impossible to work out things.

Well done on your weight loss and hope things start to work out for you,
    xx
