Yet another problem :(

I have a internal ultrasound today (ouch!) it found a cyst on my right ovary.
The sonogrammer didn't tell me, but gave me my result form for my consultant and I had a peek and saw it.
It says
right ovary. 28mm x 20mm x 25mm, volume 7.3 ml Clearly seen, normal morphology, outline smooth
contains simple cyst 15mm x 16mm x 18mm, volume 2.3ml arising from medial wall of ovary

Any ideas??!! Not got another appointment with consultant til September. Xx

  • WWAF's right, simple cysts are quite common and harmless unless they are really big (which yours isn't). It's dermoid or complex cysts you have to be cautious about x
  • I would try and give your Gp a ring before September to see if they can shed any light. As the others have said I don't think it's anything to worry about and just sounds like any unreleased egg. Just one wouldn't be classed as pcos either so you should be ok xxx
  • Thanks girlies xx
  • I would call too, if you are unsure you must be able to get more information. September is a really long time to wait xx
