Fibroids advice/experiences
Hi all,
I have avoided this website for so long after my mmc last year. I didn't really want to acknowledge that a year down the line and still no patter of tiny feet .
Everyone around me has been having babies or pregnant and whilst i am so happy for them I am struggling emotionally with this.
Our GP has referred me to a fertility specialist but in the meantime I went to see GP yesterday as I have been having pains and swelling on the left hand side near my ovaries. I have had quite a few ovarian cysts over the years and assumed I had another one (just to throw a spanner in the works!). After do an examination the Dr tells me that my womb is enlarged and she can feel a 'growth' likely to be a fibroid? She has referred me for a scan but I am still very anxious. I know the fibroids aren't dangerous in themselves but this caould be the cause of my unexplained fertility and I would hate to think this could make ttc even more difficult. has anyone got some experience of this you wouldn't mind sharing good or bad.
Thank you
Kathy xx

i have a fibroid which is in an anterior position. last year it was just over 3 cm in size ( which app in not very big) i think whether or not it can affect fertility is debated by the medicine profession. Gynae i saw said it can do depending on size and position, but gp said it cant!!
i know its hard but try not to worry. hopefully the scan will put your mind at rest.
