That something stopped my heart

Although my body you can't hold
It doesn't mean I'm gone
This world was worthy, not of me
God chose that I move on.

I know the pain that drowns your soul,
What you are forced to face
You have my word, I'll fill your arms,
Someday we will embrace.

You'll hear that it was meant to be,
God doesn't make mistakes
But that wont soften your worst blow,
Or make your heart not ache.

I'm watching over all you do,
Another child you'll bear
Believe me when I say to you,
That I am always there.

There will come a time, I promise you,
When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips
And then you'll understand.

Although I've never breathed your air,
Or gazed into your eyes
That doesn't mean I never was,
An Angel never dies.

    Hi,Marie,I shed a tear reading your poem. I miscarried in March 2008. I was 12 weeks when I began to bleed. It is really difficult to believe anything people say that are trying to help and support you at this difficult time. But like you I conceived 2 months after and now have a beautiful daughter that has just turned one last month. It was very hard to try and relax and enjoy the pregnancy- but we got there. If there is anyone reading this going through the same thing - my thoughts are with you and hang on in there.......

    'crying' I too miscarried at 7 weeks but went on to have a beautiful healthy baby girl just 10 months later! hold ur heart and nurse it for a while, it'll heal, and so will you, you never forget, you just get stronger.x

    well ive just founds out that ive miss carried and have shed a few tears reading this but it brings a slkight smile to my face to read such a beautifull peom thank you

    That is so lovely and i wish people who have never experienced this could read it just to understand!

    It captures my feelings right now and i'm sobbing reading it. It's so spot on.
