Thanx Loubylou and Em1978

Thanx Loubylou and Em1978 for your support and advice.I have been on iron tablets since it happened and am eating lots of beef and dark green veg.
I am looking forward to my period in a funny sort of way to get me back on track and start a fresh. Not going to try too early though as i`ve read lots of literature that says your more likely to miscarry again and one of those was enough for the time being. Nice to know Em1978 that not al MC are the same as this is my big worry that if i MC again if will be as bad!
Loubylou do you know of any websites that say about what i went through as i can`t find any? Perhaps i`m being a bit obsessive but i feel like i want to find out more but information is so scarce.
I`m sorry for what you`ve been through Em1978 and i hope it`s all ok with your bloods today and that you stop bleeding.
Sorry for waffling.

    You're not waffling!

Sounds like you're looking more positively towards the future now. We have to have hope otherwise we'll crack up, I know, I've been there and its hard to do it but you've made a great start. (Sorry if I'm waffling!)

The miscarriage association provided me with lots of information when I first MC in Oct with our twins. Link is:

http://www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/ Hope you manage to get some of the answers you are looking for.

Had my bloods yesterday thanks. Got an appointment and scan next Monday so will see how that goes.

Not sure whether to TTC again this month or give it a rest. It's just on my mind all the time. I've read about not TTC straight away but my GP says its 'when you're ready'???

    Lots of love to you

    Hi Liz

I hope this will give some piece of mind but three nurses/ midwifes have been assured that just because I have had one MMC it does not mean that my chances of miscarrying again are increased.

I had to have treatment to help me fall and intend to speak with my 'fertility' doctor (as I call him) at the weekend. I trust him completely as he has specialised in his line of work for many many years and as he put it 'had thousands of babies'. I will be asking him for his advice etc... on TTC and the chances of this happening again. Once I have spoken to him I'll pop another post on here image

Hi Liz, Hope you're feeling okay! The website that Em1978 recommended is the one that we recommend aswell, it has lots of info on there which will hopefully help you. Plus if had been recommended by someone who been through a similar experience to you then it is definately worth checking out.

There is no medical reason not to start TTC straight away. We used to advise 3 months but it's all changed now and there is no conclusive evidence that suggests that the risk of further M/C are increased following a M/C.

The only reasons given for waiting to TTC are to let your body recover and to enable you to work out due dates more accurately etc. We often advise having one AF before TTC again just for dating purposes.

Sorry that everytime I write on here it sounds so technical and nursy! But I have never had a M/C and so can't honestly offer you the understanding that the other lovely ladies can, just advice on the medical questions and a "virtual hug" when needed. You ladies are all so supportive of one another you should all be proud of yourselves because your kind words make such a difference in times of need.

Sending you all lots of love and tons of *baby dust*

Thanx Loubyloo. Don`t worry bout sounding technical it doesn`t bother me. I had bad week last week but feeling slightly better now i have my period. Do you reccommend women to go n see counsellors? I still feel really traumatised by it all n not sure i`m dealing with it well.
I wish you baby dust too n lots of it. Thanx for virtual hug needed it.

Hiya Liz, sorry to hear you've been feeling down, hope you're feeling a bit better now. We do arrange counselling if people feel they need it. I'm not sure if all hospitals are the same but they should have a support service in place. Were you given a support nurses phone number? If so, if you ring them they may be able to arrange some for you or even just talking to them might help you. Everyone deals with things differently though, only you know what's best for you and there is no right or wrong way of dealing with it, you are greiving and it will take time to come to terms with. I hope you are feeling a bit brighter. Take care and big hugs xxxxx
