Progesterone shots and baby aspirin
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and desperately looking for someone to give me hope with a story like mine! Iv unfortunately been plagued with recurrent miscarriages. My first was in 2011, not sure how far along I was because shortly after I found out I miscarried. Second pregnancy, we found out in December and had a perfect ultrasound with a healthy baby at 8 wks 2 days in early January. But sadly at my 10 wk check up baby still measured 8 wks 4 days no heartbeat. I had a D&C the next day. I became pregnant again in February without ever having my period. I had an ultrasound in march at 5 wks 2 days and everything looked fine but the tech said it was to early to see the heartbeat. 2 days later I miscarried. I haven't had any testing as to why this keeps happening and Doc says that all the testing he could do would most likely come back negative judging by my age, medical history, and family medical history. He wants to save testing for a last result as its expensive and not covered by my insurance. Anyway, My doctor instead has suggested that I call him straight away with any news of a new pregnancy and be started on progesterone shots and baby aspirin. Has anyone else had this problem and had a successful pregnancy with this treatment?

Hey CiCi, I'll give you some hope. I had surgery on my ovaries back in February 2013, when I was 15 weeks pregnant. After the surgery, I had a spontaneous abortion and had to have a D & C as it was an incomplete miscarriage. Two months later, I was rushed to the ER because I was hemorrhaging. I had an endometrial polyp with an arteriovenous malformation, extremely rare. I have had three surgeries and a spontaneous abortion all in a two month time period. I have seen a lot of specialists. I was put on 81mg of aspirin for inflammation. Four months after the miscarriage, two cycles later, I'm pregnant again! I'll be 40 yrs old in October. At 14 weeks, I'll start the hydroxyprogesterone shots.
