Scared and confused

Hi, I'm 6 weeks and 4 days preganant. Last night I started cramping very badly and bleeding lightly. This morning cramps were worse and bleeding was heavier but not really heavy. It was like a light period. I was advised to go to a and e as I have vomiting, diarrhoea and a temperature. They have booked me in for a scan in 2 days. When I got home I began to pass red/pink tissue and more blood. Doctors could not confirm if this is a miscarriage but I'm in tremendous pain and have been give cocodomol. Has anyone experienced this? Does this sound like a miscarriage?
Any help would be appreciated x
