I don’t understand if this is a miscarriage

I have been bleeding for 25 days and my bleeding started around my period so I assumed this was a long a period. I spoke to my GP a few days ago and the doc told me to take a pregnancy test which turned out positive. I went to a and e and after a blood test and urine test they confirmed my pregnancy and I was told to book a ultra scan for the following day.
The ultra scan showed the embryo and everything in the uterus was fine. Doc said to come back in two weeks for another scan as the embryo was not developed enough to detect whether or not everything was okay. Since then I have continued to bleed and use 2-3 pads a day- some of them with clots.
Has anyone else experienced this?
