  • Lucy,

Thanks for what you have said about the children, image. To get photo's on here, you need to right click on them on your computer and click on the resize. Click medium and then you will be able to upload them. Hope that makes sense.

  • hi ladies how are you all what sort of day have you had today and what you got planned for the weekend

i have been shopping and had to get mollie a new pair of shoes i have been told she has got small feet for age and all the others have got small feet as well mollie has gone from a size 4 to a size 5 but she has been in a size 4 for a long time

why is it childrens feet always grow when you dont want them to LOL

  • hi emma,

i'm lucy - am new on here, mum to ben who was 2 in July.. i know what you mean about feet, but we have the opposite problem - ben had new shoes in July, he went to a 6 and a half, and then two weeks later when we had him remeasured for wellies (in our lovely english summer) he had already gone up to a 7!

looks like you have your hands full with four children!! wow! am feeling slightly nervous about coping with 2 in March!

have you got something nice planned for the weekend? we're hoping to decorate ben's room..

  • no i have bought some art and craft things for the children as we are going to have rain for the next couple of days

it is hard work with 4 but i love it im allways busy what i like stephen is in yr1 at school and christopher starts nursery next tuesday so i will only have the girls at home and they both go dow for a nap so it will be nice andf quiet i will be able to do the housework in the morning and come on here

  • sounds like you're super organised! arts and crafts sounds like a fab idea over the next few days. it is absolutely peeing it down here! do all your little ones get on well with each other? i love the pic of them all together x
  • i have to be organised with 4 under 6yrs old i didnt plan it that way i was going to have any more after christopher was born so went on the pill and found out i was pregnant with mollie and the same with abbie i wouldnt change it for the world

Mollie and Christopher fight some of the time there is only 14months between them so they are very close in age, stephen and christopher have moments not very often and stephen gets on really well with mollie she follows him everywhere and he loves abbie to bits but most of the time they get on

  • Mornings ladies.

Hope you are all well this morning.

Emma thats a fab idea with the art/craft bits for the weekend. Its being true to its word and raining alreadyimage

We dont have any plans this weekend. We are pondering on doing the boys bedroom. ( well I am , Nigel knows nothing about it image)

We are going to take the stair gate down, from the bottom of the 2nd set of stairs as all Katelins toys are now up in her bedroom and she goes up and down quite steadily and we only close it when my friends little one comes round, so its going. We will keep the top one on for now though.Just in case!

I'm on my own this evening as Nigel is off out to watch England at the pub as its on Setanta and we dont have that ( phew) so I am going to get the kids in bed nice and early and have a nice 'me' night with total control of the TV and a nice dinner and lots of choccy. Oh and I may throw in the odd glass of wine too.Its like a winter's day out there at the moment so I'm looking forward to snuggling up on the sofa in my PJ's tonight.

God I do lead an exciting life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Emma, hope all your little ones enjoy their arty crafty weekend.

Lucy, hope you get Ben's room done

Have a lovely weekend ladies xxxx

  • we've turned the heating on!! really feels like winter's on its way - is absolutely chucking it down..

we went out for painty stuff this morning and shawn's been painting all day!! he didn't want ben around (although i thought it would be fun if we all painted together!), so went shopping for house stuff which was fun - although naughty!

so far he's only covered the blue that was on the walls with white - it needed 4 coats! so the aim tomorrow is to paint it yellow - although haven't quite decided on the colour!

sounds like you have a lot of stairs lucy! we took our gates down quite a while ago but always try to watch ben if he's on the stairs cos you never know if they're going to slip or start being silly.. although i nearly fell down them the other day, so maybe we should put them back up!

hope you're enjoying a lovely evening with wine and choccy - have a box of chocolate fingers in the kitchen that are calling me...

  • Sounds like it will keep shawn very busy, Lucy.

I really went off the idea of doing the decorating so sorted out lors of clothes for a charity who are doing a collection on Monday. I have 4 sackfullsimage

Watching Friends at the mo and enjoying the peace.

  • Morning all.

Hope you are ok this morning. My two are just eating there breakfast at the minute so thought i'd just nip on here.

Not sure what we will do today. It's raining again!!

  • Evening Ladies,

Hope you have all had a good weekend.

Lucy, did Shawn finish Bens room?

We were going to take down the stair gate, but Katelin fell down the stairs TWICE today. She cried lots but there were no bumps or bruises, so she's ok. But I think we will leave it a while longer.

My WUOTM goodies are due tomorrow so I am staying in all day as I dont want to miss them. image

  • Hiya!

Lucy, did you manage to get Ben's room finished? Hope you have a good week at work this week, nothing too challenging!!image

Lucyanne, so....did your prizes come this morning?? I'm still waiting to find out when the rest of my goodies are due to be delivered. At least I have one item!!

I'm sorry to hear Katelin fell image, I hope she is ok.

This is really strange. I have been used to having a Monday morning to myself for 6 months, but today is the first day I have a whole day!! I'm sure i'll soon get used to it soon but it just feels odd!!image

Anyway, hope you all had a good weekend. xx

  • Hiya girls,

Yep, Zoe, my goodies came this morning. I am a happy camper. I cant wait to try out the bread maker. There's an onion bread in the recipe book, that looks yummy. And I love fruit loaf too so will pop to Waitrose in the morning to stock up on flour and the other bits that need to go in.

And it will be alot cheaper than buying the innocent smoothies once I get quashing and squishing all that fruit.

It must feel really strange being on your own, after over 5 years. I'm sure you will soon get used to it and learn to like it too. Just think of all that ironing you can get done on a Monday now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Katelin is fine after her fall, but has developed a cough and cold. Its just one thing after the other with her. Still waiting for the hives to go down too. I gave her a tiny bit of Piriton on Saturday, but that made her a wee bit loopy!!

Right thats lunch over so best get back to my chores, bye for now.xxx

  • Oh the poor little duck, she really is having a rough ride at the minute bless her.

I know I will start to enjoy this time, especially with the madness of Christmas round the corner. I'll need these days to do secret things without the kids knowing!!!image And yes Lucy, the housework, OH JOY!!

    Happy bread making!! image

  • Ooh yes with Christmas coming up you will relish it.

And you never know, this extra time at nursery might make Charlotte so tired that she wants to go to bed at 8 ( stranger things have happened image)

What are you doing for dinner tonight? I'm stuck (again )

  • Good old Bangers and mash tonight in this house!! With a choice of either baked beans or gravy!!( Or both in Charl's case!!)
  • hello ladies!

have surprisingly had the morning off too! i had a meeting arranged to discuss my maternity leave at 9am but the woman wasn't very helpful and it only lasted 15 minutes and ended up with her giving me the details of other more useful sounding people! so then i went back home again - but had to sneak in the house when  ben couldn't see cos i had some reading to do for a tutorial this afternoon.. felt guilty for not spending time with him, but have a dragon lady GP who will be quizzing me on contraception..

not really my specialist topic hehe!

hope katelin is okay after falling down the stairs image( we haven't finished ben's room yet - i ended up doing two coats of white again yesterday as the blue was still showing through from before! that's five coats altogether! my arms were about to fall off by the end of the day, and i'm achy all over this morning (am so  unfit!!)..

hope you're enjoying your time to yourself zoe - sounds wonderful!!
