christening a 6 year old

im in need of ideas ... my 6 (nearly 7 ) year old is going to be christened at the end of january,
any suggestions for a party afterwards. i think it will mainly be adults but there will be a few of her friends too. my husbands family are all big drinkers too and while i dont want a soft drink only event i dont want it to be too adulty as a lot of baby christenings are,
any ideas????
