Opt for C-section under general???

  i wouldn't have thought so as generals are pretty risky for babies and only done in real emergencies. i guess it might be if you have a serious medical condition but i'm pretty sure its only ever spinal blocks for planned c sections

  Sorry g/c from due in June - you only have a general if it is a 'crash section' ie a very severe emergency and baby has to come out right now. Most em sections are done with a spinal or epidural depending on the urgency/if epidural is already in place. Planned c sections are almost always done with an epidural.
