Lets have a catch up!
Hi girls, though we could have a catch up as I don't seem to get on here as much as I used to!
My little Eve is 6 weeks today! I don't know where the time has gone! She is adorable and such a happy, placid baby!
I have switched her from Aptimal 1 to the comfort version as she was bringing quite a bit of her her bottle after each feed but it's gradually getting smaller amounts!
We have started going to a mother and baby group, start baby massage and water babies next month and I have signed up to learn baby 1st aid in january!
I'm really enjoying being a mummy and getting out and doing things with Eve, her little personality is getting stronger everyday and we have now started to get a couple of smiles everyday!
Eve now weighs 10lbs 9oz and is on the 75th percentile, so she is a little chubster, she is quite long though at 55cm, she is between clothe sizes at the moment, some of her new baby still fit and a few but now all her 0-3 outfits fit!
The only problem we have encountered so far is she's not keen on going in her cot after her evening feed, she wants to be downstairs with us (nosy I think lol) but I'm persevering with her routine of bath, bottle bed and we shall see how we go! She's a good sleeper and this week touch wood she's been having a feed at 10pm, waking at 3 am and then not up until 7.30am so really can't complain as we are getting loads of sleep!
We are now using re-usable nappies as our stock of disposables are finito, I love the reusable ones though and get so many comments from them!
I think that's about us caught up, can't wait to hear how the rest of you are getting on!

Its quite shocking how much she has grown and has a little chubby face.
She seems a bit big for newborn but 0-3 month are to big so in between sizes.
We are bottle feeding and she is going 3-4oz every 3hrs.
I try and give her a 10 o clock feed but usually shes to sleepy to take much so she is waking about 1am and then 4.
She still stays down stairs with us untill we go to bed about 10 but she is fine about going into her crib and during the night after feeding she goes straight back in without a fuss.
Not got an evening routine yet she is having baths in the moring which seems to work better maybe when she starts sleeping through we will start bathing her then.
Starting a first time mum group next month which im looking forward too but love taking her out in the pram. Try and go for a walk each day.
Love being a mum but still cant beleive it

MAx is 4 weeks and 2 days, and is super duper cute! He has for the last 2 nights gone to sleep at 8, I've woken him at 10 when I've gone to bed for a feed then he woke up at 3, then back to sleep then up at 6, ready for DS1 to wake up for the day, so not too bad at all He weighed 9lb 13 2 weeks ago, so I presume he is around the 11lb mark. But they only want them weighed every month where I live. My Best friend has a baby who is 5 days younger, so spent a lot of time with her, as well as taking Max to DS1's normal toddler groups. Still feeling tired and finding it hard when both DS's need me at the same time, but am managing and loving being a mummy !! x x x
Jason is 8 weeks on Monday and SUCH a good boy! Once we got his feeding and milk sorted he really settled. He sleeps from about 10 - 4 and then 5 - 8 everynight and I am begining to feel human again. I have no idea what he weighs - I only saw th hv once and she never mention when, where or how often he should get weighed but he is drinking well and has outgrown some of his 3-6 month clothes already! Thats right 3-6 months! He was nearly 12lbs 5 weeks ago so I'll be excited to see how much he weighs when he gets his injections next week. I am really dreading that. I hope he isn't in too bad form afterwards.
We both have bad colds this week and he is so bunged up and his voice was all croaky, it was really hard to see him so sad but he is such a sweet boy , he was still giving me big smiles through the snot running from his wee nose lol!
We havn't started any baby groups yet. Its only in the last couple of weeks that he has enjoyed socialising and I had planned to go this week but have kept him in because of his cold.
I'm finding it quite hard being alone with him in the house all day and miss the routine of work. The weather has been terrible here its hard even to get out for a walk in the park. I'll have to get more organised and get out and about more. Its hard because I don't drive.
Its going by way too fast I can't believe it!
great thread, good idea.
Raeya is now 7 weeks old, cant believe how quickly time is going.
she has only recently started to take 4oz, still sometimes only taking 3oz.
she tends to go into a heavier sleep after 9.30pm then will often go til about 2 or 3am then have a feed then it's back to 3 hrly feeds.
she was weighed last week and was 9lbs 1oz.
her jabs are being done on Tuesday and i'm dreading it, then on fridaythe HV is due and she'll be weighed again
she smiles often for us and is the most smiley in the mornings, she loves her bath and hates being taken out of it.
i'm really loving being a mom and look forward to watching her grow and discover new things all the time but just wish time wasnt going quite so quick....

We tried to implement the EASY routine but I think trying to keep her active was over stimulating her and was making the colic worse so we are just being baby led now!! More often than not she will have a bath then bottle then bed, she will sleep for up to 5 hours, wake for a feed and go back down until 5.30 which I try to stretch out until 6am!!!
She knows who I am and we can see the difference when she comes to me over anyone else and I really love it to be honest!!! She just loves to snuggle with me!!!
xxxx
Well Esmae is just over 5 weeks and I got her weighed last week as she was still only taking 2oz every 4 hours!! And she had only put on 5oz in 2weeks. I was told to try and feed her more often. So we started the easy routine 5 days ago and she is a changed baby. She feeds every 3 hours 3-4oz and has a 5-6oz bottle before bed (7pm) and the sleep through to 4/4:30am then up at 7am for the school run.
Only issue we have now is she has pretty much doubled her milk intake or more really she now has trouble going for a poo sometimes it's so soild. Giving her water has started to help just think it will take time for her to get used to such a change. On a plus note her wind has got loads better I just have to sit her up and she burps lol.
She also loves the bath even mire when her big brother is in with her lol.
She has started doing loads if smiles now which is really sweet too I love her more and more everyday .
Glad to see everyone is getting on ok xx

Becoming a mummy has been an amazing experience n to see her with her daddy just melts my heart n makes me fall in love all over again. It's been an emotional rollercoaster n nothing can prepare ya for those baby blues but on the whole it's getting easier n is so enjoyable...xx
We don't have to see the Physio anymore about his shoulder they are happy there is no perminent damage but haven't discharged him in case we notice any problems when he learns to crawl, but they're pretty sure he will be fine.
We still have to see the cunsultant and probably till he is at least 1 just to make sure everything is ok, with him not breathing at birth and she will keep an eye on his shoulder too. Again she is happy that he will be fine it's just to be on the safe side. Plus I think she has a bit of a soft spot for him as she remembered him from Neo-natal.
Noah loves going in the bath and being massarged after, He doesn't like it when he's taken out of the bath though
He is very smiley and loves it if you sit talking to him and he will coo back at you. He loves spending time on his activity mat, we put him so his legs reach the bars so when his kicks everything shakes/rattles.
He still suffers a little with colic but that is getting better all the time. He a bit of a monkey in the evening and as much as he will settle with anyone especially his daddy he gets to a point where he just wants me (which is kind of nice ) and as soon as he is with me he snuggles in and goes straight to sleep. His dad playfully teases him and says his a mummys boy which is fine by me.
Being a mummy the second time round is even nicer and I loved it the first time xx
I think it helps that you are more relaxed and feel like you know what you're doing a bit more than the first time.
