quick question about ill babies- yup overly cautious again

when your little one is sick, but really ill and crying not just snotty nosed is it like they can't see you or anything you give them? or, can you still get a glimpse of recognition out of them?

eugh have a long list of qns for the specialists now and its driving me round the bend sorry mummys, thanks

Sorry, missed this one last night.
I know that when I'm really ill my eyes can be more sensitive to light and colours etc so perhaps Zachariah's could be so too?? And I can't be bothered doing anything either so that could be it.
Hope you get somewhere at the specialists. x

hey lovely! thats a hard one, when fin was recently ill he was acting very strange but then i suppose they are sensitive like we would be when ill - light is a common thing to effect you if poorly! i wouldnt say fin sisnt recognise me or anything he went the other way and had to be basically on top of me all the time! i would try not to worry as i would think zachariah just has more sensitive eyes than other babies, that doesnt mean theres a problem just may be something you notice over time!

when are you seeing specialist??? what are they saying at the mo about his sight? from your photos he always looks like he's looking right at the camera and theres nothing wrong! is he actually seeing things now then?
sorry all the questions - i know how horrible having problems surrounding sight - when i sit and think about fin and eyes it upsets me and the nexct year will be hard but then there are littles babies and they are perfect to us (when they are sleeping, eating and not crying - hehehe only joking)

    xx

noah was ill last week and he was really out of it - even when he was awake he didn't seem to be very with it and its quite worrying. he was very hot and so we gave him some calpol and let him sleep. he was like it for a 2 nights and the day in between and then he woke up the next day he was fine again as if nothing had been wrong with him.
I don't know about you but our kids are always worse out of gp surgery hours - especially weekend nights!
hope zachariah is feeling more himself now and good luck with the specialist.
