A tip!

Just a tip I wanted to share with you - unfortunately not the winning lottery numbers
Bren has just been suffering with an ear infection so I have had to give him antibiotics for the first time. Total nightmare as it tastes foul and has to be given three times a day, I found (after day two and hardly getting anything down him) that if I put it in chocolate milk he would just drink it down no worries! Much less stressful, and he was very happy to get chocolate milk three times a day!! image

Hopefully all your los will be well enough not to need antibiotics but just in case this tip may be useful! x

  • poor bren - i hope he feels better soon. those medicines are disgusting and Noah's fortunately never had any but zach's had loads of antibiotics, steroids etc etc because of his asthma and we normally hide it in something otherwise he just spits it out - even when he tries really hard to be a big boy and take it properly!
  • Sorry to hear Bren isn't well, hope he gets better soon!! I will deffo remember and try putting medicine in chocolate milk if Holly ever needs it, when she was younger we used to "hide" it in fromage frais!
How is Bren getting on with being a big brother? Is he enjoying it? x
  • Awww poor Bren, hope he's better soon. Rhys had to have antibiotics when he was just hours old because of strep b so he was fine taking it, but it smelt awful. Also it was bright orange and stained everything. Was thankful for all the muslins then as i kept spilling bits lol
  • Thanks Liz
Just read this post and Jack will not touch millk. He hasnt had it as a drink since he turned 1! Just read this and thought id pop to shops for some choc nesquick. Tried it this aft and he loved it and asked for more so thanks for the tip as i may now manage to get milk down the little terror!
Hope Bren is feeling better xxxx
  • Glad it got Jack drinking milk hunibuni!

Bren is feeling much better thanks, I took him to the doctors again this morning and they did another bllod test which showed the infection had gone. She said his ear still looked a bit red though so he is being referred to see a specialist in a few weeks time to check he hasn't got water in his middle ear. He is happy enough though so I am not too concerned. He is totally loving being a big brother and makes Jacob laugh a lot. I have been putting Jacob on his play mat encouraging him to roll (he can nearly get onto his tummy now!) but Bren insists on going and lying next to him! They are very different characters though and I can see this time next year I will have my hands full with two cheeky monkeys! x
  • Glad to hear Bren is feeling better and the infetion is gone.
I can't believe Jacob is nearly rolling, time is going way to fast!! I bet its lovely wathing Bren trying to "help" Jaob to do things, its almost making me broody lol Hows Bren getting on at nursery now? xx
  • He's doing great thanks, seems to be really enjoying it and isn't crying when we drop him off whichis fab! They took them on an adventure in the woods yesterday!
Snow lookslike it may be arriving soon over here it has been 0 degrees during the day for a few days. I am really lookingforward to taking Bren sledging this year! =) x
