I had my first app wi nurse today about having iud fitted. Took 3 swabs then got to go for fitting on 1st Feb. How have you been with it? xx

We had a lovely hol thanks, hope you had a good Xmas too and that Jack's well.
It's now 6 wk since I had it fit and apart from havin cramps when it was fit, I'v had no period pains, just spotting for the first 3-4wk then a longer period after that, for about 8 days. The doc who fit it said bleeding could be erratic for the 1st 3m, sometimes women bled for 6m, but only in extreme cases...I thought that was me, but it's calmed down now!
It's so nice not having to worry about contraception or the lack of it lol and so far, I would recommend it to anyone not planning on more in the near future. Plus it doesn't affect fertility if you want more in a hurry!
