My wee man
My wee man was born 4 days early on 03rd December We've called him James.
My water broke 2 days beforehand. It started off being a home birth without drugs, but then there were last-minute complications with the position he'd got himself into, combined with the membranes rupturing almost 48 hours before, combined with hideous pain, so transferred to hospital and had an epidural.
He had some breathing difficulties and some meconium got into the amniotic fluid, so we spent 6 days in the intensive care unit while they monitored him for infection and for jaundice.
He's quite well now and we got home yesterday afternoon. Despite the unexpectedly dramatic start, he's settling in well and is a wee dote
