Sleeping on your front??

Hi

This is probably a really silly question, but I really like sleeping on my front!

The last week, I dont feel comfortable doing it just incase I harm the baby.

Are you okay to lie on your front, does anyone know?

Any advice would be great, first pregnancy and probably over thinking everything!

D :?

I would probably avoid it and you will find you can't get comfy on your front once the bump grows. You should also avoid sleeping on your back after 16 weeks as the bump puts pressure on your main artery which can make you poorly.

The recommended safe position is on your left side. I have a little wedge cushion from mothercare that I had in my last pregnancy that supports your bump on your side and makes sleeping more comfy. Sleeping in general becomes a challenge as you progress with needing the loo, the baby moving, heartburn when lying down and random leg cramps. It gets you prepared for all those night feeds!
