Early waking

Just after some advice please ladies,... Zac has always slept brilliantly and I know I am very lucky, he has gone down between 7 and 7.30 since 12 weeks ish and sleeps for about 12 hours unless he's ill then we sometimes get a few broken nights but thats to be expected. However, recently he has started waking ealry, bang on 6am the last few days and a little earlier on others... and he's waking up and crying which is very unlike him. Before he would wake quietly and I'd only know he was up as I could hear him moving around in his cot or babbling away to himself! There are no obvious reasons for this, ie he isnt unwell or anything and its not light outside, its pitch black still at that time so has anyone got any ideas why this is happening!?

Thanks in advance

Amy

  • Hi hun

Tyler can be up anytime for 5-6am. He sort of just put himself in that routine. I think he first started waking early because of growing pains coz he would wake and cry straight away then 5am just became routine. I know its not much help but just wanted to let you know you are not alone!! xx
  • Hi Ladies

Its a good job you said that you know that you are lucky Amy as I have sleep issues with my DD, she is generally up at five after having been up any time between one and three. I have learnt to just about cope with the early mornings but after 21 months I could so do with an unbroken nights sleep image DD always stands screaming at the cot bars once she wakes up, would love to wake up up to just hear her playing!!

I will be watching your post incase anyone has any good ideas, As you can tell by my user name sleep or lack of it plays a lot on my mind!!

Good luck getting back to normal

    Sleepy xx
