Work!!
Though that I would start a new thread so we can have a moan / help each other about work.
My current situation is a nighmare!
Our team is going through an Organisational Change (restructure) at the moment and I am finding it really stressful. I am currently in a team of 11 and we are going to just 6 people. We have all been told that we have to apply for our jobs in an interview on the 19th December. I am feeling very vulnerable because I have only been back just over a year from 12 months maternity leave and I am also the only person that works part-time and although I have asked several times, managers won't let me know if I can keep my part time hours if sucessful.
I am getting loads of negative comments from work colleages because they think that because i'm pregnant im safe (untrue) and they are making my life a misery. I had a midwife appointment this week and went from work, my blood pressure was raised and she said I have to go back and be monitored. This is my third pregnancy and I have never had high blood pressure! I feel sick and anxious all the time at work and have noticed that i get more stronger and regular braxton hicks contractions when there. I hate it. Everyone keeps telling me to go off sick but it will just make things worse because I will miss my interview and then just be made redundant. I still haven't had my pregnancy risk assessment, even tho I have asked for it twice!
This is making things difficult at home too. I'm worried about my job and money and hubby is worried too so we are trying to be careful with money at Christmas which is causing loads of arguments.
Having a big wobble at the moment

It is stressful to go through, affecting your whole family, without the added pregnancy bit. If you are in a union it is a good idea to discuss your situation with them, if you do not have a union in your workplace check out direct.gov.uk for expert advice on your employment rights i.e. they have to provide legitimate reasons for making you redundant that should have nothing to do with your pregnancy nor any leave you have taken for antenatal care/maternity as this would constitute discrimination & you could have legal claim to unfair dismissal.
