Contraception??

Evening ladies,

Had my 6 week post natal check today, my dr suggested considering having a coil fitted rather than going back on the pill. Previously I was on the pill (microgynon 30) for 14 years and it took 5 months for me to concieve Edward.

Bit of a pointless post really, but does anyone have any experience of having a coil fitted and if so how have you found it?

i was reccomended not to, as it last for 3-4 yrs and we might want another baby in 2-3 yrs!

i had one that stayed in for 5 years. It was quite painful whenthey put it in but we have now all been through labour so it will be a breeze.

i dont think i will be allowed the same one as even though i had an e-section i did dilate to 8cm first. I quite fancy the implant. We dont get a 6 week check up - ours is at 9 weeks when toby has his first jabs - not looking forward to that x
