Has everyone seen their midwife yet- or when's ur appointment? I've got my first appointment which is 40mins long on 11th April when I will be 8+2. Can't remember what happens at ur first appointment and if I will get my scan date then xx

MIne is on 8th April when I'll be 9+4. I got a letter saying my scan date will come separately. I think at booking in it's just basic stuff isn't it?

I haven't heard from the midwife yet. The Dr has referred me but I'm wondering with my history if.she's waiting until I am at least 8 weeks or after my early scan before ringing?

I had my mw appt really early. Booking in is all previous history, family history, weight, general health and telling you what not to eat. Have to say which hospital you intend on birthing at, although in not sure if that was because in on derbyshire/staffordshire border so needed to know for different set of notes and where my scans would be. Mw phoned straight through for early scan and 12 week scan. 12 week one on 26/04 but i wont see mw now till may as its my 2nd. Xx

Don't have 1st mw until 1/5/13 when I will be 10+5.

I saw mine at 6 weeks and she gave me my notes and booked me into the hosital for the birth! I'm going again this Mon, (10+3) for my bloods doing.x

Hi ladies, I saw the midwife again today, I'm 10+3, she did my bloods but I'm disappointed she didn't have a feel of my tummy! she said she could have a go at finding a heartbeat but it would be unlikely to find and then I'd end up worrying! Can't wait for my scan a week on wed!! I need reasurrance as I feel too good to be pregnant!!

i saw mine at eight weeks. thats the rule in our area not before then. they did the full booking appointment including bloods and urine and they deal with referring you for scan and because i'm on high risk pathway they ordered my next appointment with consultant. both scan an appt will be at 12-12 and a half weeks.

Aww sounds like a few of u have had ur appointments and all is going well!! With a few people having their scans shortly it is getting quite exciting now. I'm looking forward to my appointment with the midwife on Thursday morning and can't remember what happens at first appointment and if I get my scan date. Any one else feel time is going quickly (especially 2nd time mummies). I'm 8 weeks today and compared to my pregnancy with ds I feel it's gone very quick so far xx

good luck on Thurs rileysmummy-when I had my first app with the mw it was mostly quetions and paperwork, she gave me my notes did a urine sample and took my blood pressure, It did make it all seem real. My scan date and consutant app came through the post about a week later, then yesterday the mw took my bloods and just said "good luck with your scan"

I think once I've had my scan it will start going quickly!

how come you're high risk speccles?

Still 2 weeks until my appointment! Feels like the longest wait ever!!

Did you take a urine sample with you or did you do it there?

I rang my doctors and they gave me mw number which I rang and left my details on answermachine as she's away. i'm pretty sure it's around 8 weeks when we see around here if I'm remembering right-I should remember as this is number 4! You don't feel happy until seen mw but then I never feel like they've made a big enough fuss of me really, not sure what I would like - maybe a huge certificate or something Won't know for sure until scan, which feels like it will be ages away yet but I should be just over 6 weeks. I feel so sick have done last week and it's getting worse so I'm wondering with having a really strong line on preg test which I did early if I ovulated early and maybe I'm about 7 1/2 weeks

Thanks carioke! Yea appointment went well and got given my scan date so happy about that. Have to go bac and see her again. Before my scan so 3 weeks til mw appointment and 4 weeks til scan. Hope time flies over the next few weeks xx

Glad all went well rileysmummy. I've got to go hospital for my bloods tomorrow. Don't panic! Its because ill be having no.2 @derby but my drs is in Staffordshire. Different PCTs completely so blood would end up elsewhere! Really hope this isn't going to make things confusing for me/mw/consultant. Oops! Xx

Hello evreyone I not having 12 week my dating scan will be10 week lol I don't know why I have a speacialist midwife I'm 9 week not 8 according to scan

lol it's crazy they found a bleed next to sac so hope that's gone I'm glad you finally got there rileysmummys and how is evreyone ? Xx

lots of appointments popping up here and there for everyone now. mrsallen, i have my bloods done on scan day at our local city hospital. looking forward to all these scans coming up and hopefully we will see some scan pictures of our babies popping up. XX

I did last time rileysmummy but now in our pct they do them before 10weeks, guessing its so they have results ready for 12week scan??? Xx
