Yep, go for the shoes as the basis. Hadn't thought of fish and chips, I love that idea. Given we might be moving house and therefore need to economise we could invite everyone back to ours and serve fish & chips. Love it.
JB we actually hired a chip van! It was great. We have a french guy that comes to our village on a saturday night and he cooks everything fresh to order. It's like posh fish and chips. I just asked him if he would cater for us and we had fish, chips and mushy peas for everyone. It was also v cheap!
