Reminder about Whooping Cough Jab
Seeing the sad news just now that 3 more babies died of whooping cough last month, making that 13 this year just drums it home how important it is to get vaccinated during pregnancy.
My midwives have not once mentioned this vaccination to me and I had to ask for it myself.

Yes, I did think about it when I read that. I think round here you get it around 26 weeks.
So sad.
mine mentioned it when i had the flu jab - infact im having it on monday -----:( another needle
I had mine on Wednesday. It didn't hurt at the time but my arm is killing now. The nurse who did it had also checked on the system that I'd had my flu jab so at least someone at our surgery is on the ball!
At what stage in pregnancy should you have it ?
jb, apparently it's recommended for between 28 and 38wks.

K had her flu and w.c jabs yesterday. She has two dead arms now.
I got a slight dead arm but nothing major from either jab x
My arm isn't dead, but is sore to touch and feels like there's a lump there. Still, totally worth it.
My mw said the gp will send me a letter asking me to book an appointment for it. 28 weeks is not that far away....
