Southampton Hospitals

Hi ladies, just wondering, is anyone due to give birth at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton? Im booked to give birth there, I did want a homebirth but my partner has said no as he wants medical staff around incase there are any problems, I really want a water birth and I think PAH only has 1 or 2 which could be used when Im in there. Ive read theres a birthing centre in the new forest that I could go to, and just wondered what anyone whose been to PAH thought?

    hi sorry to gatecrash- i had both my lo in PAH, my youngest is 18wks, and i thought the midwives were absolutely brilliant, i had a water birth on the midwife led unit (broadlands ward) and it was a very relaxing home from home environment. good luck. xxx
