Blood Surgar - Diabetes

Hi,

I'm 12 weeks and very recently have started to feel sickly against things that are sweet. I am also drinking quite a lot. I got a urine sample test kit and did a test. It showed that there was some glucose in the blood. Does anyone know if this is serious? I will get it checked out with a blood test, but I was wondering if anyone also had this come on like that and can it be controlled through diet?
Interesting its at 12 weeks? Thanks!

  • yes it can be controlled by diet, but some pregnant women have glucose in the urine and it is never found out why. some women go on to develop Gestational Diabetes.

just let your midwife know when you see her - they keep an eye on things like that anyway!
