Due in 21 weeks,is that 4 months or 5 months? Confused...lol

Hi Girls

This might be the most stupidest question/post you have ever read... lol

I am nearly 19 weeks, which means i have 21 weeks left to go. 21 weeks is 4 months eh? But im due 28th Jan and that is another 5 months! I have it in my head i am nearly 5 months pregnant, but im getting myself sooo confused. Can any1 one help me with my stupid question?? lol
I am having a blonde moment, or it could be baby brain hehe!

    i had this problem, pregnancy is 40 weeks which technically is 10 months and not 9 but people would just look at u like ur mad if u said ur 5 months and have 5 months to go lol...at 20 weeks i just told people i was 5 months and then sort of rounded it up as i went along lol x

    Ok, my hubby has just made me sound daft lol, 20 weeks is 5 months! Doh!
    But yeah why are we preg for 9 months, when 40 weeks is 10 months? I just dont get it! lol
    So should i just say im nearly 5 months then? Sounds better lol

    If people ask me how far on I am in weeks I tell them according to my maternity notes; if they ask how far on I am in months then I work it backwards from my due date. So: I'm due on Dec 3rd so as it's almost Sept 3rd I say I'm 6 months at the moment. Doesn't match up to the weeks but it keeps people happy!

    40 weeks does not equate to 10 months- it wld if every month was only 28 days long( 4 weeks), but as all except one are either 30/31 days (4 and a half) its not 10 months

    So ill just say how many weeks i am, seems easier lol, although saying im 5 months sounds so much better lol

    hehe i had this thought the other day too!
    I'm 26 weeks which i hust told people i'm 6 mths because if i say it in weeks they look bemused.
    Most who ask are usually not that close to you anyway so i'm sure they wont hunt you down to tell you if dates were wrong. lol

    Haha, i know! I just dont wana say im 5 months, then ppl ask when im due and i say Jan and then they count it out and say 'thats another 5 months away', makes me feel like im making myself sound further on than i am and that im pregnant for 10months!! lol

    we always count 4 weeks in a month and its not its 4.5.if you divide 52 (weeks) in to 12 it comes out as 4.5 image so its easier to say it in weeks :lol:

    so i guess that means

    4 weeks 4 days is 1 month
    9 weeks is 2 months
    13 weeks 4 is 3 months
    18 weeks is 4 months
    22 weeks 4 days is 5 months
    27 weeks is 6 months
    31weeks 4 days is 7 months
    36 weeks is 8 months
    40 is 9 months lol


    feel like im nearly 10 months hahah

    there's nothing regular they're just all over the place so i'm not getting my hopes up yet lol...had loads of pressure down below all day today...living on the birthing ball cuz can't really get comfy anywhere else but it's all good fun hey lol! x

    Hya mrsj its also because we count from the first day of last period right so we add an extra month on if that makes sense? just tell people a week off 5 months thats what i do!lol:lol:
