Dating scan?

I new exactaly where I was with my dated, Last af was 1st Dec 08 so therefore making me exactly 12 weeks today, however at 12 week scan today they brought that forward a week and said I was 13 weeks. How can they date me a week before af was even due?

    could you of OV early? and thats why baby is ahead?

    No I am pretty sure I ovulated around the 13th December as was using ov sticks at the time, but heyho I suppose it comes when it comes, would much prefer a september baby so it can be the oldest in school year, just me being daft.
