34 weeks pregnant and need advice.
Hi everyone!
I'm getting a little unsure of what is happening to my body. Today I have been experiencing period like pains in my lower back and tummy. It's definitely not Braxton Hicks as they aren't meant to be painful.
I've never had this before and sometimes the pain is uncomfortable. It could just be my body getting ready for birth but it is making me worry.

I went to hospital at 34 weeks pregnant with very similar pains, they thought maybe an infection but turned out I was having contractions that eventually just stopped on their own and I’m now nearly 37 weeks and waiting!
Give triage a call - could be an infection but could be early contractions in which case they will try and stop them. Good luck!
Oh they also advised 2 paracetomol and a warm bath to see if that helped before I went in.
