dim question - what do the acronyms stand for??

i'm new to this forum, and found out last week that i'm about 5-6 weeks pregnant - so am very excited!
we've been reading your posts which are really helpful, but we're really flumoxed with some of the acronyms being used... sorry to be a complete dimbo, but could you clarify what they mean?? i wonder if this is the start of a pregnancy loss-of-common-sense symptom?!
