Overdue but not engaged!

Hi I’m 40+ weeks pregnant, only 1cm dilated and baby is not engaged, sitting 4/5 position. Midwife looking to induce me next week. Anyone tried ways to bring on labour even though baby isn’t engaged and sitting at 1cm dilation

    For many women baby is not getting engaged till labour starts.
    Try bauncing on birthing ball and long walks.. that's should help baby to go down

    Also squats do the trick,but it's hard when you heavily pregnant especially if you are not doing them regularly
