Smoking/vaping while pregnant

hello everyone, so I’m 8+4 and have been smoking for over 6-7 years, anyway when I saw my midwife I asked if I could vape to get off the fags, she said she wouldn’t want me on anything, I then spoke to my stop smoking person and she said vaping in pregnancy is fine as your not inhaling carbon monoxide, so I’ve been vaping and haven’t had a fag for 27 hours now!! this is a massive thing for me and I’m so proud of myself, she said that nicotine alone will not harm the baby, I smoked cigarettes with my son ( I was young and stupid) but he’s fine, just looking for any stories thankyou
