What do u pack for lunch at nursery/preschool?

Hi all,

hope you're all well.

A is 3 years old, a v fussy eater and has recently started pre-school. Just wondering what u pack for lunch or what u wouldn't give them?

  • T (6) is a dreadful eater and won't eat any fruit or veg.  His school doesn't allow crisps, sweets or chocolate so he takes sandwiches (2 rounds bread) with cheese, ham or jam on plus 3 extra things like cheese string, cocktail sausages, yoghurt, humzinger, mini roll, cereal bar etc.  R (2) takes a piece of fruit with his sandwich plus one other thing.

  • S is only 14 months so she might not have as much, but I generally pack:

    1. Either a sandwich (cream cheese or jam) or oatcakes with cream cheese or spreadable goats cheese.

    2. Extra savoury thing (homemade sweetcorn fritters, chicken balls, a pot of sweetcorn which she loves to pick at!)

    3. Fresh fruit - Satsuma, blueberries, strawberries

    4. Yoghurt or fruit pot

    5. A little treat (a biscuit or a little cake if we've been baking, or some of the kiddilicious bags)
