Looking for a baby safety gate?

Hello!  We are currently shopping for a new safety gate to protect our baby boy from the stairs.  We used to use a Summer Infant brand which was both effective and beautiful.  Now the budget and home are both smaller, and I am looking at a smaller and cheaper gate.  Has anyone used Dreambaby security gates?  I wouldn't mind a few testimonials before I buy something.  The budget is about 20 to maybe 30 pounds right now.  Any recommendations are greatly appreciated - thank you!
