Buggy Problem.....

I have the Silver Cross Pop buggy and had difficulty with the breaks. The problem is bumping the buggy up stairs/steps. Is this the design of the buggy or a fault in mine? Is mine just an old model or has Silver Cross fixed this in the newer models?
