Maybe try posting this in the baby forum I know one of the girls is a housing officer for one of the councils so she would be the best one to advise you but I deffo think they will have to move you xxx

Emma Lou 85 - completely correct - there are plenty of foriegn families being housed and somehow I think I may have lived in the country longer! Sorry - I dont mean this as a moan about them its our governments fault not theirs
Anyway I think its a good idea for your midwife to have posted a letter to them, have you sent a confirmation of pregancy letter? I was toldto do this and I think it gives you more points. CAB good idea, they may let you know of any outside help that could intervene?
Do not stop contacting them, annoy them all the time, if you stay quiet they will forget about you so make your voice heard!

thanks have made an appointment with cab next week x
I work in housing and we come across this every day !
You are definantly overcrowded, but they wont usually take into account the twins until they are actually born (crazy I know).
Plus you would need at least a big house probably more than 3 bedrooms and those properties are so rare. Our waiting list for a 3 bed is eleven years upwards !
Hope the cab helped you, but of course the biggest obsticle is simply if the council dont have the house free to offer you then they cant move you; and people in these homes just dont leave them (even when they're no longer needed) as where else are you gonna find a 3 bed house for ??90 a week (or less!)
we pay ??70 a week for a 2bed flat lol.
we have got a social worker involed and to day she rang housing and they have told her we will be re-housed befor babies are born.
social worker has stated they need to re-house very soon as i cannot be moving when im 8mths gone lol,so we will see.

me, my partner and our 3month old baby will be homeless in 2days. we have been on the council housing list for over a year and they knew about our tenancy ending 3months before it ended. they have told me that theres knowhere we can go and that there isnt any emergency housing places we could go to. when i told them that we will be homeless they told me that they would have somewhere for us when we have to be out of our house and not to bother looking for a privatly rented place (which we couldnt afford anyway) so basically we have to live on the streets because they told us they'd have somewhere for us and they havent. i am now desperatly looking for flats but evan if i did find one now we still wouldnt get it in 2days. im so pissed off with them because we have a 3month old son and have to live on the streets. we cant evan stay at parents either.
