5 months and not sleeping

hi all, my little one is 5 months old goes down to bed at 8 after his bath and bottle and yet wakes up every hour sometimes every 40 minutes, sometimes he wants food other times he is wide awake and doesn't want to sleep at all he won't sleep in his own cig he will only aleep if he is with me I need help I am exhausted and Iv tried the cry out method and that's doesn't work for me or the little one, has anyone got any ideas or proven methods
