Should I let my baby cry?

My baby is 12 weeks old and seems to only sleep during the day when I am holding him. When I put him down, even asleep, he cries, as soon as I pick him up he is fine. He is getting to the stage where he wants to be constantly held even awake! My mum has suggested putting him down in his crib settled and letting him cry for short periods. Should I?

I think you should let him cry and after a while your baby will go to sleep. We have the same problem but we didn't let him cry and now my son if he want's something he will cry untill he gets it. so it's up to you. its up to you. I know its hard to watch you baby crying but i belive its good for you and your baby.
