My 6 months old baby wakes up 5-7 times at night, HELP!

I want to sleep train my baby I dont know how and when to start.

He sleeps at 7 pm and we have a bedtime routine. play with daddy, sing with mommy, feed and sleep.  

Me and my husband are not getting enough sleep at night. My baby boy gets up every hour or every 2 hours at night, I think he depends on us to put him back to sleep. We are both exhausted from picking him up, feeding him and putting him back in his crib. I dont think he is hungry. Please help.
