2.5 yr old tantrums.

My daughters tantrums have me wanting to rip my hair out. I get that emotiins are strong for toddlers that controling them is hard. Yet she just goes and goes. We had a calm down corner for the lo gest time but she stopped doing that and now its constant screaming and crying and i mean ear splitting screaming. I am one who doesnt like to spank but she has literally pushed me to where i have smacked her but lightly and it just makes her scream louder. So i screamed back and she stopped. I dont know what else to do. Any other mums have a very strong willed toddler
