Feel guilty that I can't understand what she's saying

I sometimes feel so guilty when it's clear charlotte is trying to tell me something but I just can't understand her as it's babble. She stands there repeating it over & over & looks lost when I obviously don't get it. I always try to respond, but it's usually "yeah, really!".

She says many many individual words but no sentences, I try so hard to figure out what she's telling me & feel so guilty coz she looks so hurt when I don't get it.

She's nearly 21 months.

have you thought about going to baby signing? never too late to start. my LO is quite a good talker but that i because of sing and sign and the moments when she cant verbalise it she signs. makes mine and her life so much easier. cut out the baby frustration stage too.
