MRI/anesthetic?

Has anys LO had an MRI or been under anesthetic? My LO 1s nearly 18 months and is having one on monday and i was just wondering if someone could tell me what to expect?

    I don't know for LO's but have seen MRI lots of times and Lara explained the anaesthetic bit really well. The cream they rub on the hand is to stop it being painful before putting in the canulae.

    MRI's take quite a while and LO has to be really still which is why he will be under anaesthetic. Whilst in the machine there shoul be a camera so u can see what he is doing and see him (although he will just be lying still). The MRI does it stuff and then the results will be sent to the consultant to read the pictures. I don't think you'll find out the results straight away as they prob have to be checked by consultant and team first. The longest part will be the MRI.
