No2 on floor

ti work as a part time nanny to a 2 and a half year old .He will use his potty for No 1 but not 2 .Then take his nappy off and do No 2on his bedroom floor would welcome any ideas if anything he is getting worse and wonder if it is an attention thing for his parents .would welcome any ideas
