6 hours is hard, but it could be a lot worse. I suggest you get some sticker books for your son, a tablet/phone full of his fave movies, lots of snacks - avoid sugary stuff, go for bread sticks and veggies if you can (we made the mistake of letting my 5 year old eat a load of wine gums on a flight and she went hyper!).
