what do you do for baby sitters?
Hi girls
Just wandered who you have to sit for lo's when you and oh's go out?
I really struggle. I used to have my mil have Shea at hers but she stopped helping when lo was about 8months as he was "too much" for her, even tho I used to take him in his pj's, she'd put him to bed when he got there, he'd wake about 6, have a bottle and breakfast and we were always requested to pick him up by 8am!!!
The only other people I really trust is his god father (my oh's best mate) and my SIL and my sister.
I really need a sitter for this Saturday as its my nephews 21st so can't ask my sister as its her sons party, god father is away for weekend and SIL said she'd rather go out clubbing!!!
I know when you have kids "you made your bed so you lie in it" so to speak but i've been out once this year and was really looking forward to going to party.
My SIL said her 16yr old daughter would do it but i'm not sure about trusting her. Shea probably won't wake but what if he does??
Has anyone ever hired a stranger? Shea goes to nursery and I trust them, but to have someone in your own home is different.
God I spent the first year of Shea's life not wanting to go out, Now I'm craving evening socialisation!!
Help with some ideas x

I only really let my parents have Eoin, oh's parents live 90Miles away and aren't very mobile anyway so I dont think they'd manage. I have lots of nursery nurses as friends (as I was one for 7 years), Who I could leave him with but dont need too as my parents have him once a month thats enough for us. when I worked at the nursery I would regulary babysit for the parents... they were parents that Id formed a bond with and who trustdd me very much, so would you consider asking one of them? I wouldnt leave Eoin with one of these agency babysitters, I would never be able to relax, but thats just me!! good luck, hope you get to go xx
