my lo is having an op

  My eldest boy had an op when he was 2yr and 4 month old and i was very upset (and 5 month pg too!) when he went down. I couldn't take him into have anaesthetic, my hubby had to. I cried and cried in the waiting room. We both then marked some test papers for my hubby to take our minds off it (recommend doing something you need to concentrate on then you won't be worrying the whole while) and he was out after about an hour. He was upset when he came round, slept for a bit then awoke saying he wanted nuggets and chips! We went home that night.
  You just have to remember it's for the best and try not to cry in front of them, be a brave, smiley mummy and give her lotsa cuddles when she's out of the op.
