"it will happen when you relax"
Af arrived today so we are going into month 4; not long in the grand scheme of things i know but was feeling down about it so finally caved and told a friend we were ttc but i hate the disappointment etc. Anyway, she said you need to relax about it or it will take much longer but my question is how?! When it is on your mind 24/7 how do you stop thinking about it?
Any ideas?

We are onto month 8, and every month i tell myself 'we arnt proply trying, just if it happens it happens' but then you find yourself obsessing, lol.
Good Luck and hope you get you BFP soon.
There's no real way of taking your mind off it though, like you say it's always there in your mind! Just keep doing the deed and have fun with it!

Personally, I think it's rubbish.
I got really stressed TTC DD and I did a lot of research about the effect of stress.
There's no doubt it can delay OV but it has to be massive stress. Women living in war zones who are constantly fearing for their lives, for example, often don't OV.
Even at my most stressed, I don't think it was anywhere near that level and I still managed to conceive - in month four in fact.
I hope month four is the lucky one for you.
Don't stress about the stressing, it makes no difference.

Was also going to add that depending on your personality and if you are already thinking about ttc 24/7, it may be better to do something to feel in control rather than desperately trying to relax and forget about it.
I am 9 weeks preg with number two, got pregnant straight away with number one and was panicking like mad over number two as I expected the same but by the end of month 4, nothing. So we bought a CBFM, I started taking my temp each day and also used OPKs to predict ov as well as CBFM - my hubby thought I was going over the top but it immediately made me feel 100% better, just buying all those things and taking control. Got my BFP that very month.
ITs not for everyone but just offering an alternative to trying to relax about it if you're just not that type of person like me - control freak!!
Good luck and hope you get your BFPs very soon! xxx
