First Doctor Appointment... They weren't as excited as we were!!!
Hiya,
Was at the docs today to let him know that we are pregnant.
I was so excited and my hubby came along too. We went inside and told him our good news that we are 5 weeks pregnant to which he said "well you are only a few days really" and went on to tell me the miscarriage rates!
Yes I know this can happen but what a downer!
He told me to go home and call in 2 to 3 weeks to make an appointment with my midwife, assuming I was still pregnant!!!
I was not happy

I myself am a post grad med student I finish my degree next year but I have to say this whole time we have been TTC each time I have been to my GP he seems smarmy however I am sure this is not the case with all doctors I used to have a LOVELY lady doctor but she left
Don't let it make your special time any more special.
We all know how much we dream of those two lines!!!

Well don't let him spoil your excitement..!! My doctor was brilliant when I went when pg with my ds, although she did ask if it was planned and how I was feeling about it but I guess that's standard q's that they have to ask.
I'm sure your mw appointment will be better
